Only good thing I can say about the property is that we were able to check in at 8pm instead of the 15-18h provided by the host.

First of all, the name of this place is Mosoly szálláshely which can be translated into Smile hostel. Well, the only smiles we have seen were ours when we left the place. We needed a place to spend a night, nothing fancy, so this place looked good. However, after confirmation on Booking I received the message that the place does not accept card only cash (HUF or EUR). I called the owner and told him that I dont have cash and if payment is not possible via card then we wont go there. Upon arriving at the recepcion, we met the host who is a very grumpy man and I would dare to say that he was quite disgusted and him giving us the keys appeared to be quite a burden. Very unfriendly, but finally he came with a pos and I could pay by card. Next, we went to our rooms which were only superficially cleaned. The towels were stained and torn, and there was dust all over the place, hairs in the bathroom, toothpaste in the sink and so on. Even if the price was on the cheaper side, one would expect proper cleaning. The thing which bothered me the most is that we had returned around 12am from the town to our room and I wanted to buy a parking ticket in advance so I wouldn’t have to wake up early and the parking meters only accepted coins (the pos was not working on them). I entered the reception and asked the host to change a paper bill into coins and he told me ironically “we don’t exchange nothing at this hour” even though I had the 1000 huf bill in my hand. He simply wouldn’t help me. No free parking people in the vincinity of the place! All summed up: terrible host, speaks only hungarian, is not happy when you want to pay by card, filthy rooms, early check out time (10am). Avoid this place!

It was a good location with free parking place on the street (on weekends). Old stairs make a little bit noise and you could hear when someone talks from various rooms. The owner is nice, speaks English.
