City Lodge Stay A while

We were greeted friendly, and were given a tour of the property. The communal kitchen, toilet and shower room were very clean and had everything there that we needed. The local sweets and biscuits in our room were a nice touch.

Be aware you have to climb 2 steep pair of stairs to get to the rooms. Although this wasn't a oroblemfor us, others might struggle.

Good location, friendly host and clean. I hadn't realised it featured a shared bathroom until a few days before arrival, but thankfully I had it to myself as noone else was staying. This was lucky! Room was big, bed wasn't the most comfortable but the accommodation was quiet and the kitchen was a plus.

As mentioned, I was lucky but for shared facilities, the cost is quite high.

We liked the clean toilets and the refrigerator. The showers were also nice, hot and clean. The beds and sheets were clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the balcony and used it for breakfast frequently.

We eventually tracked some sand and dirt into our room from our shoes. It would have been nice to have a dustpan and brush to clean up some of the dirt. We did not bring our own, and we could not find one in the kitchen.

We had a lovely, comfortable room with a small balcony looking on to a stately, tree lined street. Our host was friendly and helpful and told us the interesting history of the building and about the care they had taken in renovating it.
