We 💛 the old worldliness & quirky charm of the place, comfy dining / lounge, large deck with comfy seating to relax and the area is very peaceful with so much birdsong 🐦‍⬛ Good scenic walk over the hill to Palm Beach & the other way thru some lush wetlands to the Saturday Market & Supermarket & more bus options

Not very soundproof

Room was nice, laid out well, bed was comfortable. House was really interesting, lots of character. The owner was really nice too, place was nice and clean. There are locks on the bed rooms for those giving feedback saying there aren't. Slept well and really enjoyed the property. Kitchen was well equipt and everything. Took some notes for styling my own place as i loved the character!

You can here the other rooms a bit but it was ok, everyone was respectful of noise and bed times. I had a room that shared a bathroom, with another room. I'm not sure if they had read the check in instructions, cause one of the people in there literally hogged the bathroom for well over half an hour before check out, which was quite frustrating. The other one in there was using the other rooms bathroom. They probably should of booked a hotel if that was their attitude.

Nice to be able to stay somewhere more affordable, when only needing a place to sleep:)

The place was quiet and away from the crowds. Felt like we were in the real waiheke. Kitchen had basic equipment so it was possible to make tea and coffee etc.

There was a glass door and a window facing the communal area so we had to shut the curtains for privacy, although there was one other window the room felt quite dark and small because of this.

Wow! What a place to recharge, it was calm, quiet and peaceful staying here and the black cat was super friendly and cuddly! Good transport links nearby and Ostend was close by with shops and food places

Dusty in places, a bit outdated and the hill to get out of the property is very very steep so be wary!

They did not state that they had cats that would be in the rooms we were staying in. We could not stay as I am highly allergic and they refused to refund me
