3 Darling Street Guest House

The owner Dave was an excellent host, attentive and full of great stories.

Located off the N1 a good place for a stop over and rest. The town its self was not to pleasant, we were mobbed everywhere we went, safety was a real concern. The place we stayed at was safe and secure.

The kettle in the room did not work and had not been used in quite a while

Humongous, great-tasting pizza that I ordered separately for dinner. Remoteness and rustic feel. Appreciated the pleasantness of the staff.

Dave was very accommodating, I had the pleasure of enjoying a dram or 2 with him, and a very leka Pizza. My room, linen, towels were all crisp and clean.

Called to say we'll be late, was told other guests were tired and needed a early night. Told us to be quiet when we're arrived but when I called later he said he spoke to the other guests and they said it was not fine, this was at 10 and he told us to find other accommodation. This after I called to say we'll be late. I am still recovering from the drive that we had to do without stopping, from Cape town to JHB. I'm 63 years old, I'm not letting this go. I feel as a paying client I was treated unfairly. What would you do

The owner was friendly and the pizza next door was definitely a winner.
