Absolutely the sweetest little cottage and kind family that owns it!! Host was super helpful and accommodating. She left food in the fridge for us to make sandwiches and a few drinks! We even got a cuddle in from their sweet cat that lived nearby! The cottage was warm and inviting. Not a ton of places to eat out but the few places they have are great! 10/10 would stay her again. Perfect place to stop on our way from Te Anua to Queenstown!

Awesome accom, have stayed a couple of times now and has never dissapointed. Easy check in, nice and quiet. Clean facilities. Bonus having a kitchen with a decent sized fridge, hotplate and air fryer! Also appreciate that there are continental breakfast options available. 10/10 thanks again

Nothing its great

Beautiful family run stump cottage. A lovely story behind how it became a cottage.

The cottage was lovely and we were made to feel very at home. Coming from Australia we found the weather chilly and could keep the heat-pump on even when not at the property so that when we came back it was toasty warm. Lots of extras supplied which I wasn't expecting but was really appreciated. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Would highly recommend.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Cara's cottage for my holiday in New Zealand, and I cannot express how delightful the experience was. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the immaculate cleanliness of the cottage. It was evident that Cara takes great pride in maintaining a pristine environment for her guests. The cottage was equipped with a full suite of facilities and amenities that truly enhanced my stay. Every detail seemed to have been thoughtfully considered, and I very much appreciated the completeness of what was provided. The added touch of a delicious breakfast was also a highlight, and a testament to Cara's exceptional hospitality. In fact, the quality of my stay was so outstanding that I would compare it to that of a 4 or 5-star hotel. Cara's attention to detail, the comfort of the cottage, and the overall experience far exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Cara's cottage to anyone seeking a truly exceptional and memorable stay in New Zealand.
