The night staff tried to help to the best of their ability

Our room was infested with mosquitoes, when night staff were informed of this they tried helping and tried getting in touch with their manger for us, we asked if there was any chance we could change rooms as there was rooms showing available on booking.com still for that night. The night staff reviewed the problem in the room and it was apparent that he was also disgusted with how many there were. They were in the bed, in the toilet, in the wardrobe and coming out of the aircon. When we did manage to talk to the manger on the phone, she claimed it was our fault for the mosquitoes being in the room then hung up the phone on us. There were no mosquito repellent objects in the room, and when we asked for some from the night staff they informed this was the cause of the infestation and was shocked to be informed of this. When we reinformed the manager of this she began shouting down the phone at us and her employees. We asked the manager for a refund within the first hour of us being at the property, the manager hung up the phone again. The room was damp and made all of our belongings damp to the point where we have had to pay for laundry in a different place to get them cleaned, this was a huge inconvenience for us considering none of our items were out of our bags. The floor was even wet that’s how damp the room was. We were told to leave the aircon on and not to open any windows as the room would become infested, however this was not the case and in fact the rubbish bins not being emptied next to our room the whole 4 days. We could not sit comfortably outside our room due to the infestation of the property and made the stay very unpleasant and uncomfortable.

The location is close to everything. It’s close to the Main Street but quiet

Gute Lage, nur eine Straße überqueren und man ist am Strand. Mosquitonetz war sehr gut.

Sehr hellhörig, wir hatten das Zimmer direkt neben der Rezeption, in der Nacht hat der Mitarbeiter Video-Spiele (Pistolen-Spiele) gespielt und das war sehr sehr laut. Trotz Aufforderung, kein stoppen. Keine Auswahl beim Frühstück. Entweder man mag es oder hat Pech. Personal absolut Inkompetent. Fließendes Wasser gab es oft nicht. Manchmal zu kalt, manchmal zu heiß. Wir mussten in der Nacht abreisen, kein Entgegenkommen bzgl. Frühstück to go, sehr unflexibel. Wir haben nicht einmal eine Banane bekommen. Mitarbeiter spuckte in den Garten vor unsere Terasse beim Vorbeilaufen. Schlechteste Unterkunft und Personal die wir in Sri Lanka hatten!

Die Unterkunft ist nicht besonders, ebenso wenig, dass Frühstück. Allerdings für diesen derart geringen Preis kann man auch nicht mehr erwarten. So gesehen. Gutes preis-leistungsverhältnis.

Nous y étions avec nous deux filles de 5 et 8 ans. La chambre reste petite pour 4 mais ce n'est pas un problème pour des séjours courte durée. Nous avons accès à une cuisine commune si besoin. Le logement est situé au cœur de mirissa. La plage est accessible à pied, ce qui est très appréciable.

Poppies was very disappointing but the young girl on reception was very helpful with changing us to a better room.

The property was not well maintained, railings on walkways were rusted through and loose, which could be dangerous for children. Generally untidy throughout. How ever the location is good.
