GBAbdullah and his staff were extremely helpful with details about the area and other practicalities. They were very visible around the hotel and always friendly and ready to assist. The hotel is wonderfully different in that it is re-furbished buildings to make a hotel, not originally designed as such. It is indicative of the housing in the village and consequently extremely authentic. The eating balcony looks out over the hills and valleys below and provides wonderful views of the sunrise and sunset. A splendid way to start and finish the day. The food is delicious, very varied, local and home cooked and again extremely authentic. The location is ideal for trekking and car trips to the surrounding area. The area is very different to Muscat.
The car parking was a little problematic and involved a walk from the car. However the staff were very helpful with the carriage.

GRThe room was decorated in traditional Omani style. The price of the room included dinner and breakfast buffet on the terrace of the hotel. The food was predominantly prepared with local ingredients and was very rich in flavor. The view from the terrace was rewarding, with the old town and date / palm trees right below. Abdullah, the owner, has converted his paternal house into an informative museum. Highly recommend the experience!!
