Villa Zografos

Our apartments were furnished with style, it was great to live there for 4 days! The view from Villa Zografos is amazing and you can also see many stars at night from there. The host is reactive and available to give you a lift, if needed (he picked us up and brought us back to the port). More in general, he is available to answer to any question by phone. The host also serves you a rich breakfast which varies every morning. Highly recommended!

The location is beautiful, with great views out over the water. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated, with a fan and air conditioner so plenty to keep you cool. Most importantly, the manager is wonderful. He was very welcoming and met us at the port, and when we had a medical emergency and had to leave early, he was helpful and kind about everything.

The staff was very friendly and generally keen to help. The owner picked us up from the port free of charge and was eager to give us advice and tips. The exterior part - common spaces of the hotel were nicely decorated (the water with the pond though attracted many insects in close proximity to the breakfast area). The views to the see were truly fascinating! The room was spacious and it seemed freshly renovated except for the bathroom. The breakfast was tasty and the staff were extremely thoughtful of my dietary preferences (vegetarian).

The bathroom could definitely use some renovation and it was the biggest disadvantage of the room. The shower curtain was dirty, the bathroom always had an odd smell and the shower was getting easily stuffed with water. The towels seemed quite old. The air condition was dated and needed to be replaced. Unfortunately it was not adequate to handle the Greek summer hit and we had to use it all night long in order to be able to sleep. The pond attracted many insects which made the breakfast insufferable combined with the fact that the breakfast are was to very large extent unprotected by the sun. The location of the hotel is not ideal if you don’t have a moped or a car. Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with the owner on our last day since we asked to leave our luggage to the hotel because our ferry was later on the day, and the owner proposed to leave our luggage outside in an unprotected area (the main door was not locked). Our suitcases were literally baked under the Greek summer sun and our cosmetic products were damaged. Overall, it was not a bad experience but there is definitely a lot of room for improvement.

Hadn’t realised when booking that it was a 20/30 minute walk from the port. Useful to have a moped. Short cut from Villa but rocky uneven ground so didn’t walk it at night. Toilet seat was loose, mentioned it to owner but not fixed during our 3 nights. Bins not emptied during our stay - not pleasant as toilet roll has to go in the bin. Fridge thermostat broken so froze everything. Aircon took a while to cool the room.

Views were spectacular. Pick up from port and offer of drop off to port. Angelo very helpful with information

It was a little dated and room could do with deep clean e.g glass bathroom door and tiles in bathroom.
