Casa Eva Wagner - Biertan

The location was good, the accommodations were nice and as expected. We appreciated the shared kitchen (see below for the negative aspect of that).

The host was unfriendly and even rude. Considering the many good reviews about a female host, I think we may have had a different person (it was a man) we were dealing with. We had tried to eat dinner in town but neither of the restaurants were serving food after 19:30, so we were relieved that the accommodations had a full kitchen for guest use. However, as we were cooking a very simple meal of pasta and vegetables, the host came in and said "you shouldn't cook in here, this kitchen is just for coffee and tea" and that other guests were "complaining about the scent of the food." He came in twice to tell us this and made hand gestures as if the food smelled bad. First of all, we know that no other guests were in the building because we were there when they all came back later in the night, so that was an outright lie. Second of all, there were no signs or any mentions anywhere about regulations on kitchen use. In fact, it was a full kitchen with pots and pans and basic cooking supplies, and was clearly meant for shared use. This interaction really put us off and was completely unnecessary. The room and building were also very cold; the heat was on when we arrived but an hour or two later there was no heat coming out even though we had the vents completely open.

It's a great place. Quiet, cozy rooms with everything you need. Thanks a lot for the help with the transfer. We highly recommend it

Exceptional experience. Beautiful small and quiet village, very nice people. Magneficent view from the house, expecially at night. Everything was clean and comfortable, well equipped kitchen also. Nice yeard. Super friendly and helpful owner.
