The Palms Beach Hotel and Restaurant

Die Lage direkt am Viktoriasee war sehr gut, und die Nähe zum Flughafen waren der Ausschlag für die Entscheidung dort zu übernachten.

Wir hatten ein 3 Bettzimmer für 3 Erwachsene (meine Familie) und 100 USD gebucht . Dann erfolgte die Bestätigung. Danach sagte das Hotel das sie doch kein 3 Bettzimmer für uns hätten. Wir könnten aber stornieren, obwohl ausdrücklich in den booking Beschreibungen stand, das wenn eine Stornierung erfolgt dies Gebühren kostet, obwohl zwischen der Buchung und Anreise noch mehrere Wochen Zeit war. Als ich nicht stornieren konnte ohne eine Gebühr zu zahlen, musste ich dann ein weiteres Zimmer für weite 60 USD reservieren. Das war eindeutig ein BETRUG. Also aufpassen wenn jemand dort eincheckt.

Quality of Breakfast is well only that the earliest breakfast is far too late with starting from 9am. General staff members are all friendly and helpful.

After arrival, I had to discuss with the owner about the meaning of a family (room). He insisted that there is an "interpretation" of family and for him it is starting with a couple that's why it was okay for him giving a tiny room with one double bed. He offered to add a mattress on the floor which wouldn't have even fitted. However, after long discussions and not accepting his definition and service, he gave another room which was accepted. The pics in booking.com are misleading from what one finds there in reality and having to discuss about alternative facts of the meaning of family is not a good start to begin a short holiday. Staff were friendly and helpful and also mentioned that what was declared as family room was never a family room. The hotel is simple but without fancy expectations okay for some days. Internet was at times on and off. Bathroom tiny.
