Casa Lumaki

La posizione per visitare Catania e dintorni è perfetta! Ci sono tutti i servizi possibili, non manca nulla. La casa è molto spaziosa e accogliente, così come lo è la proprietaria Luana, molto disponibile e gentile. Lungomare bellissimo con una lunga pista ciclabile e pieno di locali. Mare stupendo a due passi dall'appartamento se si vuole andare a piedi, se ci si vuole spostare la posizione è ottima per raggiungere belle località di mare a nord di Catania (bellissima la Litoranea di Fiumefreddo) o fare un'escursione nella vicina Etna. Consiglio vivamente questo appartamento. Se ci sarà la possibilità ci tornerò nuovamente!

Spacious apartments of three separate rooms, very kind and responsive owner. There is a grocery store nearby, no issues to find a place for parking next to house. I recommend this accommodation.

There was no hot water in the kitchen.

Complicate way from flat to traffic, excessive flushing in the toilet, dirty floors, The washing machine was leaking, was giving off electrical discharges

Great contact with the owners. Once we locked ourselves outside and we left keys on the table. Lady that I contacted with let her mother know (parents live in upstairs apartament) and she let us into our place with no problem. The neighbourhood is quiet which we preffered, there is a supermarket nearby (5 min by foot) and a train station Catania Ognina (20 min by foot). Trash cans are in every room and also in bathroom which was usefull. Overall we had a great time.

Some minor issues that can be easily fixed for next guests like: hard pillows; no normal quilts (duvets) with sheets just bedspreads (in the bedroom with double bed); really squeeky doors especially bathroom doors that could not be closed without big noise; not enough towel hangers in the bathroom; plug from one of the heaters should be replaced (wires were visible); there should be at least one power strip in every room - not enough power outlets in the rooms; shower head hanger was broken.

Casa Lumaki is clean and pleasant place and we are happy we could be there. There are spacious bedrooms and bathroom, smaller but cozy kitchen and very nice terraces and tiny garden, which was great place for my son. :) extra points for toaster, basic stuff like coffee, tea or oil and plug adapters! The host is very nice and ready to help, which we really appreciate. And also recycling is great :)

There was very small amount of mugs (only 3 and we were 6 people there). And in one of the rooms (the one with big wardrobe) there was very little space to put laundry and other stuff. The most parts of the wardrobe were locked and there were no other shelfs or drawers. And one little awkward thing, which however isn't the host's guilt - Google shows the adress wrong, about hundred meters, and the road with the right house is already called Via Argo there.

The host is very kind, she can always help us in time, tell us the restaurants nearby, tell us the best way to travel, her help makes our trip in Sicily better. You can even find that the host can speak very good Chinese.
