the best thing was the bed was really comfy - I'm a very fussy sleeper so this was a godsend. Secondly the breakfast was nice and there were enough things for vegans to eat albeit it wasnt hearty. Finally the owner was charming and welcoming and a pleasure to be with. She also found me a blender so I could make my own vegan dairy free shakes when needed. The views were lovely from my beautiful, immaculate bedroom. And it was lovely and quiet. It was nice to be somewhere which was a bit cooler and breezier at times, than Rome where I had come from (which was amazing but really, really hot). The air was sweet, the very large balcony off the kitchen was amazing with gorgeous views. And the whole architect-restored building had oodles of character - a real labour of love which felt very special. The little town of Casperia really is a lovely place to wander around in and admire the views. You will definitely need good strong shoes as its very hilly and quaint

The location is wonderful It is a very unique Italian country experience. The host Jennifer is warm and gracious. She knows a great deal about the region so has a lot of resources to help you get around.

The hill town villages are incredibly charming, and the view from each bedroom can't be beat, but you need to climb stairs. If you can manage stairs it is well worth the effort
