Very friendly staff, perfect location as you sleep right next to the park entrance. You can taste a lot of local fruit and they helped us book a local bus to Da Lat, which was such a treat.

Right next to the entrance to Cat Tien National Park. Lam, our host, was exceptional. He was very helpful, providing information, tips and offering tours for us. I would highly recommend a stay here.

I have spent a wonderful few days at Forest Side Homestay. The peaceful location is perfect for accessing the park - the ferry is just around the corner. I was made to feel like one of the family. I am sad to be leaving. The host speaks good English and has a great sense of humour. He took me on a dawn boat trip on the river, which was very special. The comical family dogs are a joy too. Be prepared to share your room with some of the local wildlife but the mosquito net allows you to sleep comfortably. It's a homestay, not a hotel, so don't expect luxury but expect warmth and kindness and memorable opportunities to see special wildlife.

If I were to be picky, the room could have been a little cleaner but it’s not a hotel, it’s a homestay lodge, so it’s inevitably a little more ‘rustic’ and cobwebs and dust can’t be avoided.

I liked pretty much everything. The people were great. The location was great. Even the pet dogs were great.

I chose to move to the river side, which was nice but because of a language issue, I didn't quite understand just how much more it would have cost, which turned out to be substantial. Luckily, the stars were out and we got to enjoy looking at the sky on the terrace which made up for the extra money. The food was pretty good but no selection. We ended up eating somewhere else after breakfast.
