Location so close to the surf beach & two cafes in walking distance , one with great WiFi Riki is a very attentive helpful host who wants you to really enjoy your stay so will organise anything you need. He is also a great surf instructor. There is a hammock , table , bench etc upstairs . Yoga practise if you need. The room is great for the price, comfortable bed, fan ,mozzie net & big bathroom . Also free drinking water & use of kitchen with tea & coffee supplied.

Riki is the best host ever! the accommodation is super close to surf the beachbreak and anything you need you just text Riki and he will solve it. He organized scooters, there is free water. there is a kitchen, it does not have a lot of equipment but it does the job. Riki and his family are very kind and welcoming and I would recommend everyone to stay at his place! in fact, I changed my travel plans to return during the same trip.

the wifi is not very strong but buying a SIM card is relatively cheap and 4G connection is good.

I've stayed at The Nyamo for 11 nights in total and I could've easily stayed more 😃 it's so close to the beach, very quiet. My bed was pretty comfortable and the fan and mosquito net were just perfect as it's not that hot in the night there as in some other parts of Bali. It's a simple accommodation but you get everything what you need. Access to the shared kitchen was great. Riki is a great host and he also arranged transfer for me, scooter rental and the laundry.

It's not something about the accommodation but more about the area - Medewi/Sumbul are rural areas so you find there a lot of plantations, rice fields and grassfields. And when I was there, there were like 2 days when people were burning the fields for several hours (like preparing them for the next season I guess). And with the wind, the smoke was going directly into the rooms, which was pretty bad. But from what I saw, unfortunately this is the problem you might face wherever you stay in that area as all the farmers do that there. But you might be lucky and maybe they won't do that while you stay there 😉 in the end, during my 11/12 days of stay there, the smoke was unbearable only during like 2 days. Just mentioning it coz I guess it's good to know that.

beautiful hostel, located between the beach and the ricefields, with Riki being a very nice host. a first memorable stop in Bali in this very peaceful place.
