Robert Inn Dambulla

Me gusto todo , muy confortable y sobre todo Robert te hizo sentir como en la casa de uno mismo .

Nous avons étés très bien accueilli par Robert qui est bienveillant et gentil ce fut un plaisir de faire sa connaissance. Il vous propose de vous aider et de vous accompagner pour vos sorties. Il fait également d'excellents repas. Si vous passez par Dambulla je vous conseille de vous arrêter dormir dans son auberge.

Wifiは、部屋にシグナルが届かない。 とどいたとしてもサーバーに繋がらない。 立地の関係か、自分のSIMも3Gから4Gを行ったり来たり。 風呂場の換気口は、虫除けネットすらなく、蚊やヤモリが普通に出入りしていた。部屋中蟻だらけで床に置いてた鞄やシーツに蟻がたかってた。 立地も、booking.comに載ってた距離より遠く、周囲もバイクの廃車場にあった。 ホステルの中にも廃車したバイクや部品が散乱してスクラップ場に泊まっているみたいでした。 あと、電気配線がめちゃくちゃなのか、スタッフに部屋の電気を消されたけど、つけ直してくれず自分でつけに行かないとダメでした。 The Wi-Fi signal didn’t reach my room. Even when it did, it couldn’t connect to the server. Possibly due to the location, even my SIM kept switching between 3G and 4G. There was no insect screen on the bathroom ventilation, so mosquitoes and geckos came and went freely. The room was full of ants — they were all over my bag and sheets that I had placed on the floor. The actual location was farther than what was listed on Booking.com, and the area was surrounded by a motorcycle junkyard. Inside the hostel as well, there were scrapped motorbikes and parts scattered around, making it feel like I was staying in a scrapyard. Also, the electrical wiring seemed to be a mess — one of the staff turned off the lights in my room, but didn’t turn them back on, so I had to go and switch them on myself.

Robert war super hilfsbereit und hatte gute Empfehlungen parat. Meine Freundin hatte eine Blasenentzündung, wir wurden sofort einem Arzt vermittelt und kamen direkt dran.

WiFi network range in my room was less

Wow, we booked initially for 2 nights but we stayed 5 (and we could have easily stayed longer). The rooms are modern, well maintained, very clean and comfortable. They look much better than on the photos. There is always hot water in the bathroom, there is filtered water for the guests, space to eat and chill outside, there is a nice view from the rooftop (you can see the Dambulla caves hill not far), and you can use the kitchen and our room was quite cool even without using a fan. It's incredible that you can have all this at such a low price (a small tip: it will be cheaper to just arrive there without a reservation through a website. In april 2025 non AC room was 1500 LKR!). We also appreciated Robert personality and his family. As for the location we actually enjoyed being out of town. At the main street (10 minutes walking) you can find restaurants cheaper than in the center (rice and curry around 350-450 Rs.) and the neighbourhood folks are very nice.
