Pension Ohno

Quaint and quiet place by the lake. Big rooms with windows facing the lake. The bathhouse was good as well. Most of the time, I'm alone inside. Breakfast was amazing and homely. The place is run by an elderly couple, and they were really attentive and friendly as well. For people who are coming here, I would recommend driving as the nearest town is quite a distance away. Having said that, there is a convenience store right beside it.

The location is near Eight Views of Lake Toya Sobetsu Onsen. The room is so comfortable especially the armchair. Breakfast and dinner are very good.

Rooms are all on the second floor and there is just one stairs which is not good if you have heavy luggages.

Owner was very nice! She made my wife a different breakfast since she doesn't eat fish. The public bath was clean and inviting. The room was very big. Breakfast was nice. The view was fantastic.

No elevator in the hotel or a slope to carry your luggage to the entrance. A bit far from the "center" of the town, we had to drive there. It's not necessarily bad, but something to keep in mind.
