Blue Water Thoddoo Inn

Amazing cozy breakfast area with garden, fish pond and a swing. We loved having meals and spending time there. Also cool indoor/outdoor shower! It was nice to have access to the kitchen. Staff was helpful and breakfast was good, with fresh fruit almost every day.

Room was smallish, at first we requested additional bed for our 4 year old, but then reconsidered and ended up sleeping all three in one bed (thankfully large), because one more bed would have made the room too cluttered. Our window overlooked breakfast area, so no privacy, we had to keep drapes closed at all times. Not enough hangers for clothes.

I have been living in this guesthouse for the second time, and I intend to return to it again when I arrive at Thoddoo. I really like to bikini beach is near, the patio, the panoramic doors and the without ceiling shower. And Hafiz is just a darling :)

Host is an amazing cook and serves up delicious meals including wahoo (fish) I caught in a soy ginger glaze! He cooks Maldivian specialty foods. And blue water has such a cute little courtyard to eat in. I also borrowed some snorkeling equipment. Recommend bringing an underwater camera! Booked this trip last minute and didn't have time to buy one. Location is good! Closer to the south beach (turtles). The north beach (fish/coral) is a bit of a walk but manageable. I only walked never biked. Overall, it's an amazing local island to experience some culture (at a great price) and get some sun and snorkel or fish with some locals. An unforgettable time. Just be sure to ask around if you need anything or want to do anything. They can set up most things for you but make it known and be persistent and specific.

My room was pretty spartan and not the comfiest. Note that this is kind of an open air place and island. You will see geckos and mice crawling around at night. Yes, this is not a 5 star resort where you pay thousands a night to avoid those things. I also recommend providing bike rental and advertising it. I saw a couple but it was never offered to me.

Such a nice property with very clean facilities! We loved our room - had great AC, nice window view, gorgeous outdoor shower, and was very clean. Our host was super friendly and helpful. We were even allowed to use the washing machine which is so wonderful. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Bed was super hard, also some hand soap in the washroom would be great - we purchased some from the store and left for the next occupants :)

Location is great, maybe 10mins walk through this beautiful local island to the bikini beach. Turtles and plenty of fish around. Host was nice, showed us everything, there is also a well equipped kitchen with everything you need, coffe etc. and a nice yard.

2 points down. One for the extremly hard bed, which was uncomfortable after a while and the second for a room with no window.

Hafiz’s place and Hafiz is simply amazing. He was waiting for us at the port to pick us to the accommodation. His apartment and its environment and surroundings are very natural, calming and quiet. The whole place is full of different and beautiful plants which make it even more special. It was always clean and tidy. The room and the bathroom was larger and more aesthetic than in the pictures. We received our meals in front of our room. I loved eating outside on the terrace close to the nature. We couldn’t ask anything from Hafiz the he couldn’t help us with. He is super friendly, helpful and he is always available. He made our vacation even more memorable and we will surely come back to the island because of all these positive experiences and expressions. Thank you Hafiz!

This place is amazing and everything was perfect from start to finish! We cannot say enough about how much we liked and enjoyed our stay.Haafiz was very kind and helped us with everything we needed. The breakfast was very delicious and the view in the garden is also very beautiful. We are very grateful for the great memories and we are looking forward to return again.

This is a family run guest house. Hadiz and his dsd are very friendly and welcoming hosts. They arranged my speed boat pick up. At the end of my stay, Hafiz prepared for me a farewell personal dinner .Thank you, Hafiz.It was very kind of you.

- what’s the most important it’s the host! Haafiz is one of the best host I’ve ever had. Takes care of everything, is there to help you anytime you have some troubles. Organises a speedboat from and to the airport. He is also an underwater photographer and takes AMAZING underwater pictures. - good breakfast (every day you can choose if you want to try the maledivian or continental one) - possibility to use the kitchen to prepare some meals - possibility to use the washing machine - free snorkeling equipment to rent - CLEANLINESS!!! in the rooms and bathrooms - close to the beach - garden and surroundings
