Undercliff Guest House

The location of the property is stunning although it is a little remote but the details do include this information and we had our car so this was not a problem. The pool was a good extra.

The room was cramped and it felt like we were sleeping in the kitchen. The room was also far too warm and stuffy. The towel rail was on and there are no controls for it in the room. It is not self catering but a small room with a microwave and toaster.

Very attractive, unique, full of character. Wonderful location with stunning walks very close by. Spacious room with kitchen and en-suite, tastefully decorated. Ida and Richard extremely friendly and helpful, giving us loads of useful information about the locality.

Prachtige ruime kamer, modern ingericht. Schitterende locatie en zeer vriendelijke gastvrouw. Het gratis ontbijt op de eerste dag was een verrassing.

Er is geen privéterras bij onze accomodatie op de begane grond. Er zijn wel publieke zitjes. Het zwembad is klein.

Everything was in the same room and the noise from the fridge kept waking us up not much space no cooker and after letting them and booking.com know we were leaving a day earlier still had to pay full price was also kept awake with people talking outside our door

It's a lovely guest house, well equipped and the breakfast provided for the first morning was enough for at least 2 days. Ida and Richard are lovely and very helpful. The swimming pool is a bonus and it was lovely to have such a good onsite facility. There was everything we needed in the room, plenty of storage space and a lovely bathroom with toiletries. Beds were very comfy and it's very quiet at the guest house. It's remote but we knew that before we arrived and Bouley Bay is lovely. Buses are always on time but quite sparce on a sunday.

Nothing we didn't like we had a lovely holiday.

The room, although quite small, was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. The bathroom was modern and full sized toiletries were provided. The kitchen area was adequate for making a simple breakfast and the coffee machine and endless supply of pods was unexpected but much appreciated. The actual location was beautiful, not far from Mad Mary's outdoor cafe, the beach and was surrounded by woodland. We didn't use the pool as the weather wasn't brilliant except for one day, but it looked very inviting and there were sunbeds provided too. We would definitely stay here if we came to Jersey again.

I think it would be good if a folding clothes airer was provided to get beach towels and swimming things dry. The heated towel rail was fine for keeping the bathroom towels dry though, I just thought a clothes airer would be a useful addition for anyone who swam most days.

A Big Thank you to Richard, We were late arriving due to ferry delays, it was so refreshing to see a friendly smiling face waiting to greet us. The self catering apartment was exceptional value for money, the location was everything we had expected, beautiful surrounding and views, the bay was literally a two min stroll from door. In all a really welcoming and exceptional experience.. Again many many thanks Richard, I can whole heartedly recomend Undercliff to anyone.

The Ferry ride home

Excellent accommodation in the Poolhouse. Large bedrooms with gorgeous view from master suite. Beautiful setting with easy access to coastal walks. Car parking available. Use of small but heated swimming pool very welcome. Any minor issues swiftly dealt with by owners without question.

Appreciate that whilst on holiday you don’t want to be cleaning but use of a vacuum cleaner and surface cleaner would be useful when staying for a week. Instructions for use of appliances and nearest shops etc may also be useful. No major issues.

Location - quiet and a good base to travel to other parts of the island. Very close to a good beach. Hosts - Warm, friendly and helpful, good customer care with prompt attention to any issue. Staff - friendly. Accommodation - Comfortable, clean and well equipped for self-catering. Parking - free and convenient. Overall - Very good value for money
