Smugglers Rest Bed & Breakfast

Room was warm, comfortable and clean. Toilet and shower facilities clean and modern. Great location for Whitby. Easy check in and check out.

In a good location

Lovely B&B with the most welcoming and accommodating hosts. Very good breakfast with a lot of options to choose from. One of the most modern and cleanest B&B rooms I have stayed in. Perfect location in a very quiet street, but still just a short walk to all points of interest. They offer permits for on-street parking which came in handy as the official Whitby car parks would have been much more expensive and further away.

On-street parking is a bit of a gamble though - I arrived early in the afternoon and I was lucky and got the last available parking spot in the entire street. The mattresses were rather saggy and could maybe use an update. Also, while the B&B was spotlessly clean overall, I unfortunately found several booklice in the bed when I moved the pillows. This did not exactly make for the most relaxing night.

The location of The Smugglers Rest is perfect to access easily everywhere you want to be in Whitby. The property is spotlessly clean and Rachel was the perfect hostess. We could not have wished for more.

The property is central and just a few mins walk from the centre. Excellent breakfast and good facilities.

Nothing not to like really. Perhaps the small single room would benefit from a rail and a couple of coat hangers.
