I am surprised this doesn't have a higher rating, it was a great stay. It was one of the cheapest places in Allapuzha. The room was one of the cleanest if not the cleanest we had during a one month in India. Nice bathroom with actually hot water. We liked the location because it was super close to the backwaters (to the ferry that goes there). The air conditioner was great, very new, easy to use and strong (it looked good - I am sometimes afraid that the owner does not clean the filter, here is seemed alright). The owner was helpful and asked me at the end what I would improve, which is nice. So yeah, can recommend.

No restaurants nearby (we used some delivery service) and if we wanted drinkable water, we needed to go down and ring on the owner to ask him for it, some dispenser would be nice (eg on the rooftop terrace - oh, and you can give there some sign that there is a rooftop terrace, didn't realise it until the night before we were about to leave). But, the first thing did not really bother us (delivery worked well and we didn't have to leave the room with a good temperature, and as said, I preferred that it was close to the backwaters), and the second thing is a standard everywhere. Oh, and there could be a second chair in the room, there were times when we could use that.

Location is near the starting point of shikara and decent restaurants nearby. Owner is quite helpful.
