Snooze in Hout Bay Self-Catering

The location was exceptional, quiet and nestled in a mountain. Clean and very private.

The cleaning schedule, changing of linen and towels was not communicated well in terms of when and how, only found out later.

View is wonderful. Beautiful area. Interesting architecture, with green sod roof for cooling the space- did make it musty with the terrace door closed. Open plan kitchenette, bathroom and sleeping area is unusual- OK if you are good friends :). WiFi good, no trouble with load shedding. Good quality appliances and towels.

Shower not handy to get in and out, inadequate splash door. No table for working or eating, though a desk was advertised. The terrace area was unkempt; leaves were leaf-blown from above, pond fountain was very noisy especially at night, and outside furniture was dilapidated/ broken.

Great location - very peaceful and great views. The host was very welcoming & he had thought of everything you may need during the stay. Plenty of towels, coffee machine etc. The bath was the highlight for me! You can slide the window right open to enjoy the views from it. No electrical cuts & nice dim lighting to choose from.

Nothing! Only thing was the oven burnt our food but we probably used it wrong!
