Bridport Garden Suite

Only place we could find at the last minute.

A garden shed with mould in the bathroom and a pillow too dirty to use. Open coffee- unhygienic. Arrived and had to go up steep steps with no handrail, just overhanging vegetation, then a path up the garden where we were greeted by a loose dog, left unattended in the garden; not ideal. Garden chair broken, internet not available until owners returned from work and provided access in another property. Unfortunately we had had to pay in advance and were tired, otherwise we would have left.

Lovely little seating area in the sunshine outside the chalet with a very friendly dog who seemed to enjoy the company. Very peaceful - quiet and secluded.

Had trouble finding a parking space when we first arrive but the parking congestion seemed to ease as the afternoon/evening wore on.

Good location, quiet yet convenient for shops and facilities. Private.

The suite is quirky with a pleasant outdoor space but irregular floors and limited daylight in the bedroom are detractors. Kitchen very basic, not possible to cook a meal except by microwave.

Quirky little garden shelter at the top of the owners back garden. Accessed through a couple of gates and a few steps. Owner had included a range of useful items like soap and toothpaste.

The bathroom light was broken. The room in the hight of summer was hot, and leaving the only opening window open was noisy. The mattress on the double bed was soft. We couldn’t work the heating for the shower despite the written instructions to “press the wifi button once”. The parking (on street) was all taken when we arrived (after 6pm) so had to park 10 minutes walk away.
