The guesthouse was charming and beautiful. The location was right off the ferry. Scenic views of the harbor. It was exceptionally clean and very comfortable. The food was delicious, I give it 5 stars! Thank you Monica and Mario for your warm welcoming and hospitality.

Our stay at Heimbrygga was an absolute delight, a place truly brimming with both stories and an undeniable charm. It possesses the authentic soul of an old establishment, yet is remarkably well-kept. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the bathrooms and rooms felt as though they had just been thoughtfully refurbished. The common room, with its inviting sofa positioned to overlook the bustling harbour through a large window, proved to be a particularly wonderful space, filled with intriguing trinkets that collectively create a truly unique ambiance. Being there during the off-season meant we had the entire place to ourselves, an experience we thoroughly cherished. We loved every moment and genuinely wished we could have extended our stay.

There was a lively football game being enjoyed downstairs until past 1 AM. The very next morning, at 8 o'clock, a crew with an industrial pressure washer began cleaning the roof directly above our window. We understood, however, that local football celebrations of such importance are rare, and the owner later explained this was the first time the roof had been cleaned since they acquired the building. Most importantly, she was incredibly kind and apologetic about the disturbances, even offering us a complimentary night. This thoughtful gesture truly underscores the exceptional nature of this place; minor inconveniences can occur anywhere, but it's clear the staff and owners are dedicated to ensuring their guests are well cared for. We loved every moment and genuinely wished we could have extended our stay. Maybe we will be back one day.

Simply the best guesthouse I’ve ever stayed at in 20 years of traveling, attention to detail, great aesthetic taste, and an excellent restaurant.

The rooms are very small with bunk-beds, but shared bathrooms and shared living area was excellent. Has fully equipped kitchen. We stayed for one night, so it worked very well for us. I wouldn't book it if I had to stay for a week.

The location is fantastic; very remote but that is rather a feature than a bug here. And you definitely do not need a car here.

Nothing really; the menu was a bit limited the day we were there, but what we got was really really delicious.

The staff was very friendly and supportive.

Charming house next to the ferry port. Picture window in the sitting room looks out over the harbour. Restaurant downstairs. Good walks across island to pristine beautiful beaches.

Only thing I would like to have there is some pictures / explanation about kitchen and freezer and shared living room. Because they really were more what I expected. If I would know about freezer I would have bought straight away some food more. I understand also that hosts want to offer their food in downstairs kitchen, but still there would have been something about these things. Also because the nearest supermarket is from 1 hour away from accomodation.
