Shehara Sun Surf Lodge

A really nice family owned lodge at a perfect location. Has everything that is needed and the owner is very fast in contact. We could switch the rooms we had booked after the first night because we didnt like the room. Everything was very simple and uncomplicated. We could also simply add days to our booking, as we wanted to stay longer.

The budget rooms are on the lowest floor of the building and have very small windows, hence not much light and fresh air. There are small fans. We switched the room to the middle floor, which was a lot more comfortable and definitely worth the price. Bigger windows, more light and air, better fans, more room and even warm water if needed. The most expensive rooms have air conditioning and are a bit nicer.

Everything was so nice. The owner and the staff increíble, the rooftop has a very nice view!!!

Argumentative staff, not allowing access to the AC remote for my room unless I paid extra - despite having booked a room that clearly stated AC available.

After booking when I reached the place they said all rooms filled with guests.i did not stay there.

The family is lovely, always willing to help and very welcoming. The location of the hotel is perfect, just in the middle of Ahangama and Weligama and not noisy at all. The terrace view is stunning, it is a great spot to sit and look at the surf in Rams. Also the room was very comfortable and clean. We would definetily come back.
