Tulivu Kilimanjaro Retreat

Was like and Oasis, amazing place to rest, clean, comfortable, beautiful settings, garden, pool. Lovely and helpful stafff.

A little far from the town.

Our room was very beautiful, big and nicely decorated. The shower was very big, with hot water and good water pressure. On the contrary, the WC was quite small and not really comfortable. The work done by the gardener is incredible and wonderful, all the area looks like a tropical botanical garden with several kind of flowers and trees. The premises are quiet as the hotel is located in the outskirts of the town but not far from it. Friendly staff.

Breakfast was industrial and poor. The first day there were two kinds of fruits and a cake, the second day not. The coffee was instant coffee. The dinner was overcooked and sometimes it was not easy to communicate our choice/selection to the staff.

We stayed for 3 nights, we booked the comfort room but unfortunately had one next to the kitchen, which was very loud. Once we told Manny (Sales Manager) he sorted it immediately and moved us to a much larger room with a shared private pool. It was 10/10! The grounds and facilities are really nice, with a new swimming pool being built, which will be an amazing addition. They have a fantastic view of Kilimanjaro and different areas to relax, the fire pit was a lovely touch. The food was nice and had a good selection on the menu, albeit on the higher side compared to the local restaurants but this is expected… Manny deserves a special mention, he was really kind and helpful! He offered to take us to Moshi town to visit the markets and recommended some local Swahili restaurants (Moshi Pazuri was amazing) We would 100% come back and stay in that room again, thank you Manny & Tulivu.

We arrived very late at the hotel, due to last minute flight changes. We where met with the most incredible friendly staff, that immediately got us fresh juice and took care of all our concerns. The place was beautiful, the food was great but the best part was definitely the the incredible staff, with their kind and caring attitudes.

Everything was great

Words cannot describe this place, you have to come and experience it for yourself! After our safari, we were exhausted, but also longed for some activity before continuing on to Zanzibar. That's why a few days in Moshi was exactly the right decision for us! We have not regretted this decision: Tulivu Retreat lives up to its name: we were really able to switch off 100% and enjoy our time here. Never before have we been so warmly welcomed and never before have we stayed in such wonderful accommodation. The pictures can't do the place justice, it's just incredible: from the architecture of the houses, the decor, the fantastic food and the extensive tropical gardens. I'm sure you won't find anywhere else in the area that is as beautiful. The activities we booked (mountain bike tour in the "Rau Forest", hike to the Materuni Waterfalls and Chemka Hot Springs) were also just great. Too bad we couldn't stay longer: There is so much more to see and we would have loved to extend our stay. Thanks to the whole team for a wonderful stay. We will be back.

We were extremely pleased by this stay. Pool view accommodations were amazing period staff was incredible period they really went above and beyond for us during our stay to make things wonderful. Emmanuel and Bailey were incredible as well. As the rest of the staff period. This resort really captures the feel of africa period we greatly enjoyed our stay and only regret was that we couldn't stay longer than the two nights that we were there.

Nothing really worth noting as far as what we didn't like .

Excellent secluded safe location

I love this place, i wish i could stay a bit longer. Well design hotel with great facilities ,Large beautiful garden with a lot of birds life, Staff are fantastic. Thank you Victoria for arranging my Airport transfer . I will definitely come back.
