CASA DAMA

I stayed in the blue room and the view is absolutely amazing - breathtaking! It’s so delightful to sit here at night looking at the view while appreciating a glass of wine, and waking up to this view in the morning. Our host Daniela had been so helpful prior to our trip till the last moment of our stay to ensure we has everything sorted and had the best experience in Positano - recommending nice activities and places to go, arranging porters for us, etc. The place is spacious and bright, aircon is strong too! I’d go back if I visit positano!

Great location, lovely design, fabulous views

Daniela is super helpful. She will guide you and help you with any recommendations of what to do in positano. The room was spacious and super clean. The location is Excellent!!!! You cant avoid steps in positano but this location is excellent you have a beautiful view of positano and you can get to the beach and town in less than a 10 min walk.

Nothing 5 start for sure.

Daniela was a great host!

Daniela’s place was the perfect location to stay. it was away from the crowds, but close enough that it’s a quick 5 minute walk down to the port if needed or to the shops for a quick bite. There are tons of restaurants within walking distance and there’s only ~50 steps max between the property and the main road which for positano is not many! for anyone stressing at the “yellow” room vs the “blue room”, they are literally the same and we stayed in the blue room which I sort of preferred as it sat away from the main door which can be loud when people are trying to figure out how to unlock it. the view was amazing from the blue room and the bed is still a king. the air conditioning worked amazingly and the wifi signal was strong the entire time. Daniela was extremely helpful in providing us some suggestions and helping arrange things on the fly but also let us do our own think if we had things already booked. also, I’ve seen comments that it’s not a great value and sure there is no pool but you’d pay 2 or 3x more staying at a hotel with a pool with the same or worse view and you don’t spend that much time in your room anyway. I thought the price for the view and the location was extremely worth it and we’d stay again in a heartbeat!

you tend to hear walking about upstairs while trying to sleep a little bit which required me to put in ear plugs at time but I’m a light sleeper and my husband didn’t notice the footsteps at all (typical!) just know that there are steps to lug luggage up and down. There are porters that can help if you need them, we did it ourselves but man was it a lot of effort! so pack lightly or be ready to arrange a porter to help so you don’t sweat through your clothes. that being said, this is not a Casa Dama specific thing, it will be at every accommodation, so without exception we’d suggest staying here!
