I really enjoyed my stay with Travelers House. Hosts are kind and provide quality breakfast and welcoming drinks. Even got a foot bath with beautiful flowers. The room is charming and one can hear great jazz or classical music during breakfast time. Like staying in a liitle museum with plants, collector stamps and book on Hygge.

I loved everything. The host was very kind, helpful and fast to reply. The communication was excellent. The breakfast was delicious. The room is very charming and relaxing. The welcoming foot bath had a very nice smell and was very much appreciated. I would love to come back!!!

Nothing, all was perfect

The breakfast was excellent, using local produce, it was as good anything I’ve experienced at hotels etc. The location is central to the island and the option of renting a bicycle means that you can explore the whole beautiful and tranquil island.

There was nothing I didn’t like.

Taketomi Jima is a magical place and Travellers House makes it all the more special! Our hosts were very accommodating and provided a futon for our teen daughter. The breakfasts were wonderful! Our wonderful hosts were also able to provide us with 3 bicycles at half the price of rental from the town centre. They are lovely people. Highly recommend staying here!

It was very hot in July, but you can't control Mother Nature...

The property is located on a quiet (even for Taketomi) corner of the island in the middle of a beautiful garden. The room was cozy and clean. The decorations and details made it feel like “it was from a picture book” to quote my wife. The owner is a very nice lady that helped us feel very welcome on the island and we enjoyed the homemade breakfast in the garden the next morning.

Large traditional room, with a good bathroom and space for a desk. Separate entrance from the owner’s property. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and the owners very kind. The location was perfect for exploring the island, a bike is available to rent from the owner very cheaply.
