"So Unprofessional and Wrong Location"

The Owner has update a Wrong Location He was counfusing us with Location After told us to come the to another Location when we were Half way there he is asking to Cancel the booking, i think he was Sleep 9am in the morning Talking to me Like just woke up in the morning and counfused Please double check with the owner before Booking this Unprofessional Place And he doesnt know how to Send Location from Google, said he is having a small phone.

The Owner was so Unprofessional - 10 Stars, wasted my Day in Weligama..

"Weird experience"

Location is good

The property doesnt have a name on it. So i called the owner while looking and eventually he hung up on me, before i could find it. After when entering the property we didnot get a normal welcome. We were seated in the livingroom and the guy started making his mothers bed without communicating anything to us. While we were waiting they did offer us some chocolate. But still they didnot ask our names or reservation and just gave us a random room. When asking about the room he got a little defensive and showed us the online reservations. So for us to look for our own reservations and rooms.. The room wasnt really clean, towels had stains. Bathroom was dusty and had a cockroach and the toilet didnot had enough waterpressure to flush anything. Also you share your bathroom with the owner. Overall a weird experience

"Dont stay here!"

Nice family and good location. Room was cheap and had everything u needed. Quiet area

The most dirty homestay I have ever seen. I was shocked… Insects, dirt, coffee, spiders in the ceiling, used toothpicks laying around. Even found clipped nails on my bedside table. The bedlinen were not changed from the last person, it smelled horrible. It wasnt even tried to clean the appartment. It was not even flushed the toilet from the last person that stayed there… I left right away.

The owner is very hostile and super helpful. They also offer laundry service.

The facilities had seen better days, e.g. the faucet was loose, mirror and pillows looked old and used and there is a gap at the ceiling so it‘s kind of loud from the outside. If the owner fixes these things the place can be cozy.

"Facilities were perfect, except for the fans, but the residents' voices were intolerable."

The room facilities were very good and having a hot shower, a kitchenette and a fridge in the room was perfect for what I wanted. Furthermore, the windows were on two sides of the wall, so when I opened both windows at night, a very cool breeze came in, which was very comfortable. The proximity to the beach was also very convenient and good. On arrival, when we asked about 'free WIFI', we were told that it was off-season and a public holiday at the moment, so it was not being charged, and that it could be charged in a few days, but as it will be after our planned check-out, we were surprised and told them we really needed the WIFI (I booked it at midnight the day before, so there could have been time to charge it in the morning). I strongly requested it, which helped me to get a router from elsewhere, thank you for immediate solution, but be aware that this inn (and others) sometimes charge for WIFI after a guest has booked (or only when requested) it! (Sometimes it is not possible to charge instantly online and you may have to wait a few days, they said),

Most disappointing was the incredibly loud voice of either a family member or an elderly woman who lived downstairs on the same property (very loud among them, as is common with middle-aged women in Sri Lanka), and wake up every morning in an uncomfortable mood (even with earplugs!) because of it. . When we told the owners, they didn't seem to recognise it (the voices, which were startling to foreigners, seemed normal to them and didn't seem to bother them, but to us it seemed as if they were having a big fight). That voice was the only thing that was extremely uncomfortable and distressing at the inn. Furthermore, the ceiling fan had a broken strength adjustment and only worked at maximum intensity when turned on. It was too hot to sleep without the fan, so we would turn it on, but the intensity was too harsh for a woman's body, and every night the wind from the fan fatigued my body and made it difficult to sleep (my son could not turn it off because they were too hot without the fan). The fan intensity adjustment needs to be repaired. Furthermore, the lock on the front door of the room was a bit old (as is often the case with doors in Sri Lanka) and was not easy to open, so every day I opened and closed it carefully, but one day I could not close it from the inside. I handled it with care, but they charged me for the repair because they said I had broken it. It is common in Sri Lanka, they leave something that is broken or not working properly and the guest can not handle it well, they charge us for it, even when it is broken by accident. Furthermore, the following day, at a time before check-out, the staff removed the knob from the door because they had to go and buy parts for the lock, and I told them that I wanted to take a shower in the morning in a hurry and was in a situation where I could not lock the door, but they did not wait until check-out time. I understood they had rushed to buy a new doorknob for charging me, not for guest convenience.

"Not comfortable"

Convenient location. This is the only convenience.

The room is very humid. Wetter than all the other places I have stayed and because of this, the bed linen and all your things are always damp. The water flow is very weak, it is difficult to take a shower. There is no towel, no toilet paper (I had to buy it myself in the store), not even soap in the bathroom. It is also important for me to have the Internet. The owner offered to pay for it if I wanted to use it as the internet is expensive (this is the first time I've seen this). Yes, this housing is inexpensive, but for the same money you can find much better. The real price of this place is 2 or 3 times less.
