Surfing Life

This is not the first time I have stayed in this guest house... And every time I am so pleased to immerse myself in this special cozy and friendly atmosphere of this hotel... where in the mornings you can enjoy a delicious breakfast with Italian coffee, delicious lunches and dinners in their own family restaurant, and in the evenings you can enjoy and relax with chill tracks while chatting or playing with friends and loved ones... And this is all thanks to the care and attention of the owners and staff to their guests. Always glad to come back to you ,my lovely "Surfing Life"!!!!

The staff here are super friendly and always ready to help. The location is great—close to the beach and in a peaceful area. It’s really convenient having a restaurant on-site too. We stayed for 10 days, and the room was cleaned 3 times during our stay, with fresh towels and bed linen each time. They have rice and curry nights every 2 days and it is exceptional!

Having a restaurant on-site is convenient, but it makes it feel more like staying in a restaurant than a homestay. It can get quite noisy with music and people, usually until around 11 pm. Having random people around every day while relaxing in front of our room wasn’t the best experience. The food at the restaurant is pretty average and costs more than usual, with smaller portions. The fried rice was okay, though. Also, our roof leaked when it rained, but they fixed it quickly, which we really appreciated.

Amazing place with really friendly staff. They even gave me a queen size bed because I was traveling alone. The restaurant infront of the stay was also amazing. Will come here definitely if I ever come back to Midigama!

Infront of the rooms is a restaurant and sometimes it’s a bit loud because of the music. But it usually stops around 10 pm.

As a solo traveler it is the best place to stay here. Ofcourse also for couples and friends. It has a really good vibe. The rooms are simple but clean. I had a room with a fan and that was a bit warm but I moved the bed under the fan. There is a mosguito net but I haven't seen any!!! You can always meet people at the bar/restaurant and that was one of the things I like te most. A drink with other guest or the manager Eric was always the best end of the day. First I regret that I didn't book a hotel just on the beach but I loved the walk to the beach. You can buy fruitsalades, see cows and at the beach you take a coconut and watch the surfers. During the day its pretty quiet at the beach but at 5 pm it get fully crowded for the best sunrises of Sri Lanka. You can easily reach other beautiful beaches by bus, which is 1 minute walk. It cost 50 roupies. The breakfast is more than enough and the meals, expeccialy the buffet and bbq we had were super! I booked 2 days and stayed 9!

When you stay longer you need to ask yourself for them to clean the room. That's not bad but good to know ( its in more places I have been)

Surfing Life is really close to the beach in a very calm area. Employees are really friendly. Our stay was quiet and relaxing and we felt very welcome.

We stayed longer than planned.. unfortunately nobody had the idea to empty the trash, pass the broom or give us new towels as a fresh-up.
