Bamboo Guest House

I have never been to a place that is kept this well , from the pay per use bar to the user friendly lobby with comfortable chairs and a great place to relax with the other guests and here about their travels and tell them about yours. The breakfast is all you could want and more “excellent” would be the way to describe the whole experience

The staff is amazing and they make you feel so welcoming. I wouldn't look for any other place to stay in Hermanus.

I would like softer pillows

A short walk from the town centre, opposite the coastal path, this hotel offers secure parking just off the main road. The breakfast were fantastic - with the best omelettes! And the added bonus of the gym (complete with a reformer bed) was a pleasant find.

Nothing - it was fantastic

The Bamboo Guesthouse is like an "Oasis." We felt completely relaxed and comfortable from the moment we stepped in. Theresa is an AMAZING hostess! She and her wonderful Team made us feel SO SPECIAL - they go the extra mile to make one feel comfortable, and everything they did was done with THE BIGGEST SMILES. Breakfast was a daily treat, the rooms SO COMFORTABLE. I'm SUPER impressed with the bamboo used in the decor. Also, we were so happy that the guesthouse is so close to some of the most beautiful beaches, as well as the most beautiful mountain views from our balcony. The Fernkloof nature reserve is very close to the guesthouse. We were VERY SAD to leave .... but,.we'll DEFINITELY be back for a longer stay 🤗

We have nothing to complain about or any negative comments. Perhaps a little more space in the bedroom 😊

Everything was top

5 star - from the moment we arrived Theresa made us feel incredibly special, going out of her way to ensure we had everything we need. She even made some gluten free muffins for me and reserved a table for us at breakfast. Her attention to detail and care made the wonderful venue a 5 star, rather than the 4 it officially is. Incredibly clean. Very comfortable beds and in a lovely location with secure parking make this an ideal place to stay in Hermanus. It’s my second visit and won’t be my last !

My only niggle is the Wi-Fi from room 6 drops out a lot.

Great room, very comfortable bed, spotless clean, bright, two balconies. Great breakfast. Walked into town for dinner and took an uber back. Walking to the centre isn't too pleasant as you first have to follow the main road before being able to use the lovely coastal walk. A further extension of the path is under construction though.

Big room and bathroom, terrace, nice and early breakfast option, towels, chairs and umbrellas for the beach and very friendly staff
