JOSEPH GUEST HOUSE

Nous sommes restés 2 nuits pour faire Kelimutu. Joseph guest house est à 35 min en scooter du parc. Joseph nous a louer son scooter et a été très arrangeant pour l’heure de rendu. Le logement n’est pas aussi beau et bien que sur les photos.. cela mériterai d’être rafraîchi mais honnêtement c’est ok pour 2 nuits à Moni.

La chambre n’est pas très bien isolée ainsi on entend tout + les odeurs de fumée entre bien dans la chambre. Typiquement les draps sentaient la fumée.

The location is amazing set at the end of rice fields with a garden and river to the back of the building. The host Joseph is a really helpful guy arranging airport transfers and trips to the local places of interest.

It was a little cold at night, in April.

We really enjoyed our stay at Joseph! It has an amazing location, right next to the river with loads of plant life! It is really peaceful to go to sleep with the sound of the river! Billie is a really great host who helped us out a lot! The room itself is really clean! The coffee at breakfast is also really good!

Das Zimmer ist groß und man hat ausreichend Platz. Die Lage ist gut gelegen. Man hat einen schönen 15 min Spaziergang in die belebtere Ecke von Moni, was uns nach den Rollerfahrten entgegen kam. Billy ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, wenn wir Fragen hatten.

Für unsere persönlichen Bedürfnisse war die Luft im Zimmer leider zu feucht und muffig. Das liegt vermutlich an der Region, da in Moni generell eine höhere Luftfeuchtigkeit herrscht. Dadurch waren all unsere Kleidungsstücke und das Bett ständig feucht, und wir haben uns insgesamt nicht besonders wohlgefühlt. Eine Klimaanlage könnte hier sicherlich Abhilfe schaffen. Außerdem wäre es hilfreich, die Räume besser abzudichten, sodass weniger feuchte Luft von außen eindringen kann (aktuell gibt es Gitter, die zwar Insekten abhalten, aber Luft durchlassen). Der kleine Luftentfeuchter, der freundlicherweise bereitgestellt wird, reicht leider nicht aus – vor allem, weil der Raum nicht vollständig geschlossen ist. Zusätzlich war der Wasserdruck im Bad zu gering, um lange Haare richtig zu waschen. Die Bettlaken waren zudem teilweise löchrig. Insgesamt ist die Unterkunft vermutlich eine gute Option für einen kurzen Zwischenstopp. Für einen längeren Aufenthalt würden wir sie jedoch nicht empfehlen.

Excellent location. Billy was super helpful and gave us great advice. Also arrange for our transport back to the airport which was really comfortable and super easy. His advice on local food and motorcycle hire were both the best in town and we felt very lucky to have stayed where we did. The scenery is awesome.

Unfortunately somewhat damp (being so near to beautiful water) which was a struggle with my friends asthma but no ones fault, just unlucky (and fine for one night)

Good location, amazing host that was helpful a lot with the stay.

Some cosmetic maintenance would be nice in the room, but that is not a dealbreaker, stay was good anyways.
