Pensión Mendi

Basic but clean and functional. Close to some good restaurants (try La Creperia and Heladeria Nalia!!), easy check-in, friendly hostess offered us our choice of two rooms since there had been a cancellation.

Very small tight rooms and bathrooms with basic/outdated facilities. Lots of stairs to climb from the street level to get to your room (3-4 flights if I remember correctly).

Nice room. Loved that there was a fan. Shower was not very well appointed, the only place to put shampoo and toiletries was on the floor of the shower. Comfy bed, good pillows.

We were told there would be someone available 24 hours to answer any queries, but when we inadvertently left something behind in the morning, no-one answered the bell or the phone. All well in the end when the cleaner arrived at 10, all thanks to the barman next door!
