It's pleasing on the eye. The vision can be seen, and the space looks beautiful, but a far cry from a Boutique Guesthouse.

Granted, it was a last-minute booking, they sent me a message to confirm the booking only to be met with confusion when I got there, no fault of the gentleman on duty. He opened up and we were taken to our room that was ice cold, I then removed the bedding to put on my personal electric blanket, and the mattress was incredibly dirty, and the fitted sheet had holes in them. The throw at the end of the bed looked terribly dirty, and the pillows felt like they had been in use for the last 10 years. I popped to the kitchen to get red wine glasses which wasn't clean and then retreated to the room. The towels weren't clean they had marks on them and the place needed a deep clean, and looks like one gentleman running it. No fault of his he really was lovely. The park is also crazy for a guesthouse, and it woke us up, as there are cars moving on the stone outside due to a lack of actual parking. A boutique guesthouse is possibly overrated. You also heard the other guests in the house, their tvs and talking. The vision they are trying to put in place can be seen but not fully realized and it can turn things around for them with small attention to detail. The description also speaks to gowns, slippers, comforts which wasn't in the room...

Everything about it, the warm fireplace in the lounge was nice. Liked that I was upgraded to a bigger room. It's my gem in Cape Town. Always book here when I'm in the Mother City. Lovely cosy place

The manager was amazing!! As a solo traveller, I felt very safe…. Nothing was too much trouble and clean…. Having stayed in the waterfront hotels before, Oh my gosh, it was 100% better than a hotel and cleaner too!!
