Loved this place. What a gem. Affordable. Awesome location. The noise from the church bell was not an issue. Highly recommend this for a budget traveler.

Great location, terrace lovely, communication good, bathroom excellent, spacious room Great to have little food shop opposite with lovely goods.

I would stay again but be prepared for the street noise and bells as others have said, paticularly if your room faces the street. I was fine with the bells (7am to 11pm) but found the street noise a little harder (the narrow street and tall buildings amplify passing traffic and sometimes voices). If it is possible to add insulated glass that would be great.

Beautiful old building with incredible views from the terrace in a fantastic location, right on the heart of Varenna. The room was clean and comfortable. I only had to share a bathroom with one other room which wasn’t a problem at all. I would definitely stay again.

Being on a main street, it was a bit noisy if you’re a light sleeper like me. Also, yes, it’s near a church. Therefore you will hear church bells every half an hour, but that’s Italy. If that bothers you, don’t visit this incredible country.
