Bandulas Beach House

Wonderful and quiet place close to Hikkaduwa and Galle, with beautiful private beach 1min walk. Lovely family taking care of the place, great staff. Nice, clean and quite big area for guests to enjoy the stay. AC in rooms helps with hot weather. We will be back for sure.

Everything was great. Nice location, room, friendly people, good and delicious food...sea food kottu and fruit juices were the best...l recommend it and we will be back for sure.

The people, young family, and other staff were extremely helpful, friendly and hospitable, welcoming guests with fresh juice on arrival! The breakfast was particularly tasty and a traditional SriLanka breakfast was a tasty treat.

The only small criticism I had was the water pressure in the bathroom sink tap is very low. The guest house can be a little hard to find from the main road, so bring a GPS phone

The location is off the main road, very peaceful and surrounded by greenery and nature. Just a short 2 minute stroll from the back of the property, down to the beach. The beach was empty, and the waves were wild, but it was great for frolicking in the foam and the waves at the shoreline. The family went above and beyond to make us feel at home. They were kind and attentive, and nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was exceptional - the best we had all holiday. Homecooked, flavourful, plentiful, and just downright delicious. We truly felt spoilt there.

Can walk along the beach. Great breakfast. Air conditioning worked well. Our dinner was prepped in-house which was delicious and great value. We had seafood, Sri Lankan style. Very helpful host.

We are a family of four and loved our stay here. Bandulas is exactly as advertised: Simple, great location close to the beach, air-conditioned rooms, great curry and exceptionally friendly staff - from Sampath to the chef to all the other guys who played Carrom with the kids and made our stay very relaxing. We will be back!

It is a basic, yet clean and fully equipped place. No complaints

A great place for a relaxing holiday. We are simply in love with this calm atmosphere, hospitable team (attentive to every guest), always delicious and freshly prepared food (which is tastier and cheaper than in other places, and really large portions), an incredibly beautiful private beach (we swam with the child, despite the waves -it’s quite shallow and we walked for hours along the deserted beach line, enjoying incredible views. The rooms are clean, with air conditioning and comfortable beds, some rooms have their own cozy terraces. We also really liked the location, its very close to popular Hikkaduwa, but there is not so much crowding, and there is space for private time. It is also a very convenient location for trips to Galle, Unawatuna and other places - near the train station, many tuk tuks and a bus stop. You can order a transfer, use the laundry service, book excursions, snorkeling, fishing. I was with a 9 yo child, we felt very safe and comfortable, enjoyed the magnificent flora and fauna, squirrels, birds, lizards, peacock, encountered something new every day. Many thanks to this wonderful friendly family for our wonderful holiday. Thanks to Udayanga, thanks to Kusal (by the way, he speaks Russian her well and his care and help in everything was simply priceless), many thanks to the chef for the incredible food and to everyone who keeps it clean and cozy! We miss you very much and wish your hotel prosperity and well-being!

Everyone was very friendly and helpful, providing details of local trips. We were lucky and saw a turtle laying her eggs on the beach behind the hotel. The food was tasty and reasonably.priced
