Tao Thong Villa 2

We had a very basic family room, with three single beds and 1 double. It looked better than on the pictures, as I think it was recently renovated. The bathroom is a bit special and small, because when you shower, the toilet gets wet and the floor consists of 4 levels. Tao thong villa is located very remote, but the restaurant of the resort serves really good food, for a good price. The houses all have their private entrance and balcony. Tao thong villa is located next to the beach, where snorkeling is amazing. We saw turtles, sharks, and many colourful fish. We really loved going early in the morning and late afternoon, when practically no one else is there.

The air conditioning was not really working well during the day. During the night it was okay, and we slept well. The owner offered us a room in the city, but this was certainly not what we wanted. We wanted to be next to the beach. The bathroom is very small and the toilet gets wet when you shower. However, we really liked the 'basic-ness' of the room and it's good value for money.

The location is amazing, seaview, snorkeling onsite, decent restaurant. Quiet and family run. The family roomis quite big and the balcony has amazing sunset views and two gammocks.

Die Bungalows sind sehr großzügig gestaltet und verfügen über eine wunderschöne, große Terrasse. Wir hatten einen Bungalow in erster Reihe und konnten direkt vom Bett aus den Meerblick genießen – einfach traumhaft! Für Ruhesuchende und Schnorchel-Fans ist diese Unterkunft ein echtes Paradies. Besonders toll: Das Schnorchel-Equipment inklusive Schwimmwesten wird kostenlos zur Verfügung gestellt. Das hauseigene Restaurant ist durchgehend von morgens bis 20:00 Uhr geöffnet und bietet gutes Essen in entspannter Atmosphäre. Das gesamte Personal ist ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wer hier bucht, weiß, dass die Lage etwas abgelegen ist – genau das macht aber den besonderen Charme aus. Zudem wird ein zuverlässiger Taxi-Service angeboten, sodass man trotzdem flexibel bleibt. Wir waren rundum zufrieden! Für uns als Schnorchel-Liebhaber war es ein absolutes Highlight: eine faszinierende Unterwasserwelt mit vielen bunten Fischen, Schildkröten und sogar drei Schwarzspitzen-Riffhaien. Ein unvergessliches Erlebnis! Auf Koh Tao ist sehr bergig – die Unterkunft hat viele Treppen und steile Wege, daher nur für Gäste geeignet, die gut zu Fuß sind und keine Probleme mit Anstiegen haben.

Electrical issues with power, No Air-conditioning in working condition in 39 degree heat.

The location for snorkelling and peace was fabulous. The property was so unique and the snorkelling was amazing. We saw turtles and reef sharks right outside! The food was very cheap and authentic at the property and was delicious!

It would not be great for anyone struggling with mobility as the property is on a hillside and has a lot of steps. It is also quite isolated so a scooter is recommended. We loved the peace.
