Eagle's Nest

This was fairly basic budget accommodation.

The braai area was just outside our room, and the night we were there a party was having a meal outside our windows. The curtains did not cut out the light and the windows did not cut out the sound. The air-conditioner was not working.

This is an excellent property and place to stay. Large comfortable room, secure parking, very helpful host and amazing kitchen.

It’s hard to find if you follow map directions- head up the hill and only turn off the road when you see the eagles nest sign. We made the mistake of following the map and going all over the place.

The hostess, Vicky was great and friendly. She listened to our requirements and was happy to assist.

The BIC's in the Family room that sleeps 6 (1 double bed and 4 single beds) were all locked and we could not hang our clothes. The owner, Carol, who was away insisted that the four of us use the shelved unit which was unhelpful to straighten our clothes. Suggest that they keep one wardrobe empty and unlocked with hangers to enable guests to hang their clothes in it. The check out time of 09:00 is totally unreasonable and we have never come across such. We travel extensively and check out time is usually 10:00 or 11:00. We had to shower after the parkrun finished at 09:00.

Carol is an amazing host, friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean and beds extremely comfortable. Access to a fully stocked kitchen was fabulous for meals. A definite jewel in Barberton.

Via onze navigatie hadden we problemen om het te vinden. Er is Gospel Road, Gospel Street en Gospel Avenue. Gelukkig naast elkaar.
