great location just a quick walk from the railway station, and buses that went to and from the city centre room had all the amenities that i needed, and had parking at the back.

Very clean ground floor front room of the guest house. Great staff who checked everything was ok. Parking at the rear of the guest house. Close to supermarket & shops near train station. Comfortable bed. Thanks.

Road can be a bit noisy, and tv needs to be bigger.

I was an hour later than I had promised on the booking.com website, but she rang back when I phoned, and was very accommodating when we did speak from the next motorway services. The room and the bed were both larger than I expected from the description of a single room. The bed was either 4'0" or 4'6" (probably the latter) so while not King Size the room layout with both sides of the bed accessible and with a bedside cupboard and lamp on both sides would suit a couple.

I have sleep apnoea and have to sleep wearing a pressurised air mask (known as CPAP). The room description said power points were accessible by the bed, but in fact those power points for the bedside lamps would only be accessible by moving a heavy bed. However the CPAP's mains and low voltage cables and air hose were long enough to plug in at the far end of the room from the sockets for TV and kettle. Had this not been true, I could have slept with my feet at the headboard, and my pillows and face-mask at the free end of the bed only 5 feet away.

It was quiet and I did get a good night's sleep. Free parking.

It would be nice to have somewhere to hang the towel in the bathroom.
