Villa Lion View Private Luxury Retreat

Wow wow wow!!! What an incredible stay we had, even though just for one night! We had an amazing stay at Villa Lion, from the impecable room and amenities, location, amazing breakfast and great staff overall! We cannot wait to be back and fully experience this gem!

It was everything that we needed after a long day of driving

Beautiful villa right on top of one of the hills in Constantia with amazing views over the neighborhood. Stylish and cozy lobby with a fireplace. Lovely a la carte breakfast with some afternoon-tea-style delights. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a huge terrace and almost direct access to the pool. Overall the staff was very welcoming, helpful, and nice to us.

The check-in process could be a lot smoother. We arrived at around 1:30PM, an hour and a half before the standard check-in time. We were 100% ok with waiting for our room to be ready. But unfortunately after we got accommodated in the lobby and offered some beverages and snacks (some of them are free which is super cool) no one told us how long we would wait. At one point all of the staff left the lobby area and we were a bit confused about whether we could go out or better stay. The room was eventually ready by 3:20PM which for me is quite strange as the check-out time is at 11AM. So the housekeeping has almost 4 hours to get a room ready which is a lot for a 35-40 square meter room. It was just a shame that on our last evening in Cape Town we spent almost 2 hours in the lobby when we could spend this time somewhere in the city. Nothing crucial but I would suggest communicating the whole process and estimated waiting time clearer so that the guests could decide on how to plan their day.

Fantastic stay and we are so thankful to Elijah, Sylvie and Gilbert for looking after us. Nothing was too much and they went above and beyond for us in everything they did. Special thanks to Gilbert for the conversation and recommendations. The villa is gorgeous, well maintained and with unreal views of Cape Town. We would not hesitate to be back and will be bringing our families!

Very cozy atmosphere, amazing view and friendly staff. Comfortable bed, I sleep very deep there.

Would be great to have more options for breakfast like waffles and some sweets (btw all meals were delicious and served beautiful!) I didn’t like shampoo in the room, keeping my hair still dirty after washing.
