Tolle Lage, schöne Aussicht

Viel Schimmel im Zimmer, Badezimmer hätte sauberer sein können

We liked nothing.

I had a very disappointing experience staying at Sigiriya Paradise Inn. During our stay, the nighttime temperature in Sigiriya dropped to around 14°C, which is quite cold. Unfortunately, the hotel did not provide us with any blankets. My wife and I, along with my friend and his wife, had to sleep the entire night without blankets in the cold. When we asked the staff about it, they responded very rudely and told us that all the blankets had been sent for laundry and that they didn’t have any available. The way they handled the situation was extremely unprofessional. Instead of trying to help or find a solution, they simply told us that if we wanted we could stay, otherwise we could leave—even though it was already very late at night. Since we were in a foreign country and it was too late to find another place to stay, we had no choice but to remain there and endure the situation. Basic hospitality means ensuring guests have essentials like blankets, especially in cold weather. The lack of preparation and the rude attitude of the staff made this stay very uncomfortable. I would not recommend staying here.

Die Lage und der Garten sind außergewöhnlich. Man hat beim leckerem Frühstück direkten Blick auf den Lions Rock. Wir haben außerdem vier Touren mit der Familie gemacht, die uns sehr sehr gut gefallen haben. Sie sind vllt etwas teurer als wenn man sie direkt bucht. Dafür lernt man sehr viel über Land, Leute und Tiere :) wir würden es immer wieder so machen!

Leider hatten wir ein Zimmer mit Blick auf den Innenhof und nicht wie auf den Fotos auf's Reisfeld.

Wir hatten zuerst das Zimmer, welches Reisfelder und den Lions Rock als Aussicht hatte! Das war top, das Zimmer, die Ausstattung und die Ruhe. Eine letzte NAcht mussten wir in einem anderen Zimmer verbringen, da sonst alles ausgebucht war und wir die Hotelanlage nicht wechseln wollten. Dieses Zimmer war eher nicht so schön. Fast ohne Tageslicht, obwohl es Fenster hatte. Jedes Zimmer war mir AC ausgestattet.
