Wonderful stay at Santari guesthouse. Kazu-san our host went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We are vegetarian so he prepared simple but elegant tasty breakfasts. He's got an extensive collection of Japanese whiskey and treated me to a tasting of some of the finest single malts i've ever had. Was so interested in us, in our travels, had some wonderful conversations about life, cultural differences and similarities. Gave us amazing info about attractions and things to do in the area, beautiful flower gardens near Obihiro, Michi-no-eki roadside stops, brilliant fireworks festival and s/uno pizza in Shintoku. Fabulous b&b experience.

We stopped overnight at this wonderful B&B, and it was delightful. We were a family of four and booked out the two twin rooms. Both rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable. The bathroom and toilet facilities were excellent, too. There are a few restaurants in the local area, otherwise you'll have to drive to Shintoku for more choices. We opted for the local yakiniku restaurant opposite the house. It was great for dinner. The host made a reservation for us and even accompanied us to help us with the order. The host was extremely kind, helpful, and gracious. He offered great insights into the local area and had excellent recommendations for our journey in Hokkaido. Breakfast was also fabulous.

Absolutely the best host I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying with. Kazu-san went above and beyond in every way—kind, interesting, and always ready to help with anything we needed. His hospitality made me feel truly welcomed and at home. The house was spotless, the beds were comfortable, and the breakfast he prepared was nothing short of amazing. I can’t recommend staying with Kazu-san enough and we would love to come back in the future.

Easy check in, friendly host, Host was kind & considerate, he even went as far a to gift us some food for our travels which unexpected yet thankfully welcome. Room was clean tidy as was the bathroom facilities. Overall an excellent place to stay.

Kazu was an amazing host who went above and beyond to make our stay special. He helped us book restaurants, recommended great places to visit, and made us feel completely at home. His warmth and hospitality truly enhanced our experience. We loved everything about our stay and would gladly return!
