Bridge Farm Guesthouse rooms

Good location not too far from Bristol.

No staff to be seen at all. We left after one night having paid for two - it was so unpleasant we couldn't bear to stay there another night. Cleanliness was ok but the bathroom was questionable with a smear on the toilet floor and dirt around the taps and several cobwebs. The taps were hard to turn on/off and the bathroom door did not fit its hole properly and the lock was not aligned at all. The single bed squeaked with every breath my child took and the sky light had no blind so we were awoken by 4:45am by the sun! The path to the door was slippery and overgrown. In the morning we hoped to ask about breakfast but there was no-one around - not even a bell to ring to request assistance of any kind. The carpark had ridiculously high wooded strips separating each bay, the angle of which was very difficult to negotiate without mounting them.

Self check in. Small room but easy and simple and clean. No hastle. Stress free, off road parking, clean and safe. Would recommend

Self check in was a problem as codes not received. Unable to get to talk to a human at booking.com .OWNERS PHONE NUMBER WAS ON ANSWERPHONE. Message left with no reply. text sent reply eventually telling me in a meeting and unable to talk. I explained that no codes unable to enter property/room. He then asked who I was . name had been left on answerphone. Told him BOOKING .COM WERE NO HELP. Next text from him was "Hi its self-check-in accommodation. Room codes had been sent to my booking.com account. What sort of help did I need I can't understand." I replied I had NO CODES. HE THEN SENT THE CODES The room was small .The bed had a dreadful mattress. Very uncomfortable. When I opened the cupboard alongside the bed there were two broken biscuits in it. Obviously cleaners not checking. The wet room / bathroom was tiny. The water in both the basin and shower took an age to run hot both in the evening and morning. When I say hot it was barely luke warm The floor was tiled but water actually ran away from the drain and covered about 3/4 of the floor. Obviously the slope of the floor was incorrect so the water did not drain properly. Room number 4a. I would never use the place ever again.

Close to airport and the room was very clean.

It was one of the hottest day of the year when I arrived in the evening, the room was very hot due to the room being in the eve's and the window wasn't open even a crack. It did however have a big velux window which could be opened.
