This hostel was very very nice, location is amazing - right on the beach, and the staff are very kind and happy to help and chat. Food there is amazing as well, varied dishes and everything is good. Snorkel equipment is free to hire and surf lessons are available for a very reasonable price. 100% would stay again.

The cleanliness of the room was fairly average, but we’ve stayed in much worse. There were some families with young children staying around who could be quite loud and the rooms weren’t soundproof. Nothing major, still an excellent hostel.

Perfect location, best place to stay for socialising. Chilled low music is played in the bar restaurant and they also sell the best freshly ground coffee. Surf boards can be hired downstairs and sunbeds are free. Amazing price. Right in the middle of hikkaduwa Main Street. You’ll meet lots of cool people here, not just staying but eating, drinking here or hiring boards.

Room could have nicer sheets but the price was so low so couldn’t expect anything more really.

You can't be closer by the beach. This place was really awesome. From your bed to the ocean it was only a few steps. The room was nice and we especially loved the shared lounge area with a perfect beach view. The staff were nice and helpful. Would definitely come again.

Perfekt start for our Sri Lanka Trip! Amazing location (can't be closer to the beach), very friendly and lovely stuff. The room is simple but good and clean. Highly recommend to stay with Why Not.

I just stayed here for a short night as i had to catch a plane in the morning. It's a 2 hour taxi trip to the airport. Had a cheaper room at the back, from there you don't have any ocean view. The ones at the front looked nice, so maybe consider these rooms if you stay longer. Guesthouse is located at the beach and has some loungers which you can use. Sunset in front of the guesthouse!

My room didn't have an airco, but a fan, but actually it was allright.
