I stayed at this houseboat on Dal Lake and it was honestly such a peaceful experience. The views of the mountains and the still water all around made it feel really special. Sitting there in the evening, watching the sunset reflect on the lake, was probably the best part. The place was simple but cozy, and the hosts were kind and welcoming. If you’re looking for something calm and different, it’s definitely worth it.

"Dirty place, toilets not clean, charged more than listed price, rude staff, no power backup"

Nothing

The guy charged 3000 Rs almost 1000 Rs more than the price listed in booking.com. Plus 100 Rs for dental kit which is otherwise not charged anywhere. Hygiene was very poor. Staff was not friendly. There was a powercut and no backup activated until 9 PM. Worst experience..

The owner, Ameer is a very nice, and honest man. 1.The property was nice, aesthetically pleasing to look at . 2. Easy to reach, boat transfers from the Ghat are managed by the owners.

1. The washroom was clean though , but little bit smelly , probably due to some blockage in the drainage system.

We had a wonderful time at New World. Aamir was incredibly helpful and kind throughout our stay. They have a boat that takes you from the ghat to the property, and they were always ready to ferry us whenever needed. The room was beautifully arranged and spotlessly clean. Plus, they offer to arrange Shikhara rides and cars at very reasonable rates.

There were some power outages at night, and it got a bit hot and stuffy without the fan, but that was due to the weather. Other than that, we had no issues at all.

Both brothers (Nasir bhai and Amir bhai) were very helpfull, decent and caring as well, it was a pleasant staying experience of 4 days for me and my wife. Hot water, Hot cofee, Hot tea always reached within 10 mins after ordering that was an excellent service provided by them as well. Food was also affordable and delicious, Geyser and bed heater service was also impressive in such low electric region, which is also appreciable. They also used to book cabs for us at reasonable rate. Overall highly appreciable service provided by them, which is really speechless. I will definitely refer my friends and families to stay at HB New world.

There is nothing negative i have seen in this property.
