Siri medura surf yoga meditation guesthouse and hostel

Wow, what can I say Siri Medura feels like a home away from. It attracts the most awesome people and it really has a community feel about it. People who want to hang out, connect, do yoga, meditate, have bonfires and chill together. It's super close to the beach but you get the feeling youre in the jungle waking to the sound of monkeys and birds. It's definitely not the cleanest place in the communal areas so if this is super important to you the maybe it's not the place to you, but honestly after the first day the vibes from the people were so good I didn't even notice this. If you're a chiller you're gonna love this place.

Sadly it was very dirty and most the furniture seemed to be broken. Didn’t have much interaction with the hosts so I was left feeling a little lost. Wanted to do yoga but never got any information on it.

Location was close enough to the beach. Easy walk over the train tracks. People staying were friendly enough but not the best. The host doesn’t speak very well English so made things a little difficult. Laundry was the cheapest in Sri Lanka so far, beautiful wildlife and yoga Shala.

Private room for 1 was tiny. I barely had room to move next to my bed. The fan was on 3 but left like 1. Place was not very clean but I think that was up to the guests. There was a lot of long term people and didn’t clean up after themselves. A lot of flies around common areas and mosquitoes at night where crazzzzyyy buggers

If you wanna meet nice people, this is a wonderful place to be. Lovely humans, daily yoga, talks about surfing and the world, a lot of space to keep your privacy and still be with people.

Unfortunately the place was really dirty. Before using the kitchen, you had to clean it. This place has so much potential and people try to give their best, but unfortunately the rooms are moldy. You can even smell it. I changed rooms two times (First Time because my booked room was already booked and second time because my second room was moldy, the bed was wet - third room was moldy as well - after an afternoon rain I came back to a big patch of water on my bed) I would love to stay at this place, but that’s just really unhealthy..
