Der Empfang war sehr herzlich, die Mädels die dort arbeiten sind sehr lieb und hilfsbereit. Der Schnorchelausflug der vom Gastgeber organisiert wurde war total super.

Wir hatten drei Nächte gebucht, sind aber nach der ersten Nacht wieder abgereist. Unser Zimmer hatte offene Dachbalken, und nachts sind Ratten in unser Zimmer gekommen. Sie liefen über die Nachtische, durchs Regal, und über unsere Sachen, die wir abends im Regal abgelegt hatten. Versuche sie zu verscheuchen waren nicht erfolgreich, sie kamen immer wieder. Wir sind echt nicht zimperlich, haben schon im Dschungel und in sehr einfachen Unterkünften übernachtet, aber das war ein anderes Level. Als wir am nächsten Morgen den Besitzer informierten, war er nicht überrascht. Er dachte schon wir hätten was wirklich schlimmes wie eine Schlange gesehen. Und so wäre es nunmal in solchen Ländern, da gibt es Geckos, Lizards,.. Wir sagten dann, dass wir mit Geckos kein Problem haben, mit Ratten aber schon und fragten, ob wir das Zimmer wechseln könnten, da wir hofften das andere Zimmer ein geschlossenes Dach haben. Dann wurde er recht unfreundlich und sagte wir könnten jederzeit gehen. Beim Ausschecken haben wir dann nochmal diskutieren müssen, da er wollte das wir alle drei Nächte zahlen. Nach längeren Diskussionen einigten wir uns auf 2 Nächte.

Al nostro arrivo niente elettricità e di conseguenza niente aria condizionata né ventilatore ne' doccia né un minimo di acqua corrente perché non hanno nemmeno una tank per l'acqua , al ritorno di acqua non usciva comunque dalla doccia quindi impossibile lavarsi soprattutto i capelli lunghi per una donna ho dovuto arrangiarmi con acqua in bottiglia Il caso è stato la caduta di un traliccio a Lombok Va Bene ma a questo prezzo devono garantire almeno l' acqua In ogni caso letto con biancheria con buchi e zanzariere con buchi ovunque rattoppate a qualche modo , muro dietro il letto pieno di muffa, pavimento esterno rotto dove bisogna stare attenti a non inciampare ,sedie da esterno rotte e cuscini sporchi, "piscina" inguardabile una pozza sempre piena di foglie , stradina per arrivare su in pietre tutte scomposte e non cementata bisogna fare attenzione nel camminare giorno e sera Quindi in ogni caso per la cifra richiesta a notte rispetto a tutti gli altri posti dove abbiamo alloggiato era la più alta di tutti e non avendo avuto i servizi principali ci siamo lamentati e nel chiedere almeno un po' di sconto il proprietario si è arrabbiato parlandoci in malo modo e dicendo che per la doccia bisognava solo smontare il doccino perché pieno di sabbia del mare...(???) Lo devono fare gli ospiti...??? Il giorno dopo alla partenza non ci ha nemmeno salutato P.s.

Tanjungan is a lovely place right on the beach; the restaurant and bar are cosy and have the perfect beach vibes and excellent cocktails and food. Alain and his team are incredibly helpful - Alain helped us organise snorkelling and our transport to and from the island, including changing it at the last minute so we could make our rescheduled flight. 100% recommend for a few days on Gili Gede!

We loved our stay at Tanjungan, Alan and his team were wonderful! Food was amazing and we were in awe of what a lovely calm unique setting Alan and his wife had created. Clearly personal thoughtful touches to the property throughout. The island is peaceful, very much non tourist, simple living- no shops, with just 2-3 other places to eat if you wanted, ( we only ate at Tanjungan - atmospheric and great quality food) great place to base yourself with great links via Alan's connections to good snorkeling trips around the nearby islands.
