De bedden lagen heerlijk en de douche was fijn. Ook het uitzicht vanuit de kamer, op Arthurs seat was prachtig. Het hotel gaf een heerlijke sfeer van klassieke luxe en comfort. Op de website stond duidelijk aangegeven dat er geen ontbijt mogelijk was, desondanks stonden er 's ochtends yoghurtjes, broodjes, wafels en fruit klaar en kon je gedurende de dag ook fruit, koekjes, chipjes en koude drankjes pakken. Daarnaast was er een luxe koffiemachine in de lobby. Vanaf het hotel, dat in een nette rustige buurt lag, was het centrum van Edinburgh binnen 10 minuten te bereiken met de bus dus dat was ook erg fijn.

Wij waren verbaasd dat er geen personeel aanwezig was. Het bleek met name een self service hotel te zijn. Wel was het personeel goed bereikbaar voor vragen en direct beschikbaar om te helpen toen onze deur niet op slot wilde. Daarnaast ontbrak een handdoek bij de wastafel om de handen aan af te drogen en een wcrol-houder was ook een goede toevoeging aan de badkamer geweest.

The property is beautiful. I enjoyed every single aspect, even if they don’t serve breakfast, snacks are always available. Surprised as I met only one member of staff during my stay and they didn’t say hello? But we all have our bad days, so really not a big issue

There’s one only thing I didn’t enjoy about my stay, which is the shower. The water would change from freezing to boiling every few minutes, leaving around a minute in each one of these cycles to actually wash yourself. Unsure what was that about?! It created quite a lot of inconvenience to me, as, aside from the fact I take a shower everyday and couldn’t while I was there, it just happened this trip fell on my “hair wash” day of the week and I had to spend my entire stay in Edinburgh with dirty hair in a bun during a storm where I could have really used to wear a hood! Without any staff present I couldn’t ask for help with this issue and just had to live with it, but I genuinely HATE this so much I asked every single hair salon I saw while visiting if they had a walk in appointment (none did, probably because it was the weekend)

Uma casa linda e bastante aconchegante, com os quartos muito confortáveis. Tudo limpo, tudo arranjado. A casa tem uma vista magnífica para a colina; fica fora do centro, mas os 15 minutos a pé são bastante acessíveis de se fazer e encontram-se muitas lojas e restaurantes fantásticos pelo caminho.

Esperienza davvero piacevole. La camera era spaziosa, sempre calda e molto accogliente, perfetta per rilassarsi dopo una giornata fuori. Anche il soggiorno è ben arredato e curato, con un’atmosfera davvero confortevole. La posizione è ottima: ben servita dagli autobus, ma consigliamo tranquillamente di spostarsi a piedi. In circa 10 minuti si raggiungono diversi pub e locali dove mangiare, cosa molto comoda. La colazione, seppur composta principalmente da prodotti confezionati, è stata molto gradita: yogurt, formaggi, brioche, pain au chocolat, cracker d’avena e waffle, con caffè e bevande calde sempre disponibili. Nel complesso, un soggiorno molto positivo che consigliamo volentieri.
