The guesthouse is at the top of some stairs and through the door on the right at the top of the stairs. I had no issue with the stairs, and being a regular traveller I fully expect to be climbing stairs in properties when visiting Italy. The place was quiet, on a quiet street though cafe/bar terraces were within 30 seconds walk. At no point did the area feel unsafe or sketchy, the city of la spezia was clean, quaint and nice to walk around. The host was friendly. The room was a perfectly adequate size for a solo traveller, and was clean. I don't ask for much more than that. Towels were provided, along with basic toiletries. There was also a communal fridge just outside the bedroom door, which was a blessing with the extreme heat. Also, the AC within the bedroom worked very well. The room had a kettle/safe/hair dryer/TV though I didn't use any of these. The WiFi worked fine, there were plenty of plugs including one by the bed. The windows had shutters which was a nice bonus to allow fresh air but keep out the sun.

I picked up a leaflet about some hiking trails in the local area, though all the QR codes on the leaflet were no longer valid so assume these companies/adverts no longer exist. A clear out of old, out of date leaflets and getting some new ones in might be a good idea.

Muy buena ubicación... a pocos minutos en bus de la estación de trenes y también del lugar donde salían los Ferrys para ir a Cinque Terrre. Tuve pava eléctrica y te y café disponible en la habitación y unos budincitos como atención. Y pude guardar cosas en la heladera.

No sabía que había que subir 2 pisos por escalera, y me costó un poco por el peso de mi equipaje... y la cama el colchón no me resultó muy cómodo, la verdad! El resto todo bien!

El apartamento .....perfecto. el personal, muy gentil y solícito.

El único inconveniente es el 2° piso sin ascensor. Son piso antiguos y muy altos. Imposibles de subir para peesonas con movilidad reducida, maletas grandes o cochecito de niños.
