Very friendly, nice and accommodating

Great food at hotel restaurant - Mariposa Close to small local markets, multiple restaurants and beach bars. Great for wind sports. Very close to airport ( but not loud)!! Very nice, warm and genuine owners/host.

This has been the most exceptional place to stay and we cannot rate the service, food,staff, room or location highly enough. The ambience of the Mariposa restaurant is just divine and in the evenings especially the little garden is beautiful and there is a real eye for design and planting. Superb. Subtle lighting and music make for very special evenings. The food is first class with a real Greek heart whilst delivering the very best in flavour. The breakfast options are superb - everything is so fresh (you can see staff picking herbs and vegetables from their little garden) and there is care in the presentation of every single drink and dish. We loved the home cooking and the warm, family run nature of the hotel. Never have we felt more at home, more cared for, and had such exceptional food day after day. We had the deluxe double sea view room and again this was first class for comfort, design and a peaceful holiday. The bed, shower and balcony made for perfect rest.The little beach is close by, a 2 minute walk via a little path through the garden. There is a superb little Sunset beach bar serving excellent snack food,evening meals, coffees, cocktails, smoothies etc. The sea is lovely for a swim and it is lovely to sit and watch the kite surfers. The hotel includes free beach sunloungers for the day if you take the €15 breakfast option which is excellent value. You can even order drinks etc from the sunbeds if you wish. The smoothies are delicious. The beach is pebbles so bring your beach shoes and it is all fine to walk and swim. Even in August there was space and a relaxed atmosphere where some other beaches were very full! There is a supermarket across the road, little bars and restaurants but Mariposa is rated the best and one can see why. Excellent in every way. You can easily reach Rhodes or Lindos by car, or bus. We hired a car to see the Vallley of the Butterflies, Kalithea, Kamiros etc.

We cannot fault a single thing. The kindest service we have ever received.

Fantastic place - the family who run it are so friendly and welcoming and their restaurant is outstanding - we ate there 3 out of 4 nights!

A beautiful location with stunning garden restaurant, it was very clean and comfortable.

Our personal preference is not to have shower curtains and that smoking is in a designated place not in the restaurant area or balconies.
