Beach Hut

Great hosts and super delicious food. And the beach is just arround the corner. For this price this is a perfect stay in Arugam Bay. Totally recommend this place.

Good location, close to the beach, close to shops and main road, can use the ropes to dry the clothes,room with private toilet.

More attention to cleaning, there was bags with teeth cover from the previous visitors on the shelf. It was impossible to use the fan because the paint from it is melting or it starts removing itself and when turned on is spreading it all over the bed. The idea of more natural somehow is good but there were rats in the toilet running away. The owner should improve it.

It was right on the beach

I booked a treehouse and they gave it away to another couple while we were waiting for it to be ready as the couple were staying for 2 nights instead of 1. Really poor business practice. Food was mediocre and service was slow.

Friendly staff, great decor and jungle vibe, tasty food, comfy bed and well appointed room with hanger and desk and lots of natural light.

The bathroom sink and floor plug hole were quite dirty and there was a smell of drains everytime I put the shower on. The pillows also smelled damp. A little more attention to detail is needed in the cleaning department.

I only stayed for one night, but it was the best stay in my 7 weeks traveling through Sri Lanka. The staff is really nice. They helped me get through the town and to get a bus on the day of my departure. I will definitely come here again.

Very good place, near the beach and you can hear ocean in night! Hot water, clean, pretty, good fan, 3 windows and it is yet the most chip room we talked here!

There are a variety of accommodations at beach hut but all our creatively done, whimsical, and beautiful. I was in the simplest hut and it was exactly what I wanted... sleeping with the sound of the waves in a leafy garden. The location is the best possible and the staff were wonderful. I was there in low season so was almost alone but I'm sure the buzz is great there when it's full.

Arugam Bay is a lot more developed than I thought it would be. I thought it was remote… But it's actually quite easily accessible from Colombo and has quite a developed tourist and surfer scene. Beach hut, though, is right on the edge of everything and close to Pottuvil, which is a really lovely town.

Beautiful beach hut really cosy I loved it ! The manager Kady was really nice and helpful, got me a scooter to rent super cheap, gave me a lot a tips for places to see around, he was really lovely :) The staff in general was really polite and nice :) The smaller Huts are not on the beach but only 50m from it and it was good enough. The share bathroom is cleaned every morning, the shower pressure is great ! I've booked for 2 nights and ended up staying for 4 :) Thank you again for the stay !!!

The mattress could be a little bit thicker for more confort and the wifi don't reach all the huts but except that everything was perfect !!!

Very cozy and child friendly. Lovely staff. Close to restaurants and beach. We had a wonderful stay!
